Not right at 9, lol...by 10:30, though! I usually walk it off a bit, stretch, go to my car to get my bag and then head over to order a late-morning lunch...eventually drinks are definitely added to the order. When I have ot get up at 4:30am, 10 feels a lot like lunch time to me ;)

Well done, Jim. You've been tackling so much. I love that you are allowing yourself the time to recover while still enjoying your runs. The legs may feel heavy, but you know it is temporary and you are doing great keeping perspective. Enjoy this special day with your family!

Just amazing that you were able to do what you did, coming off of Pittsburg. You always find the positive and the learning and other than those calf cramps, it sounds like you had a solid race. Congrats on marathon #21 - that is a HUGE accomplishment.

What???? extended arm sit ups with 10 lbs of weight? 90 second planks in between sets?? Aren't you the guy who said recently that you like your winter beers? They don't affect your core, do they? I heard parts of the Pistol Annies the other day, I liked it, nice harmonizing.

Sounds like a really nice race. How fun that they had volunteers out to run people up the hill. That is a really good idea and I am sure several people found it helpful. Congratulations to you Jim on another great race. It is a testament to how strong you are that you had such a strong race, despite less training than usual.

Jim, sounds like this was a great time, PR or no! Love the story of the folks running the racers up the hill, again and again. Man, that must have been a day of serious hill repeats for team Asics! Glad you had a good time. I hear you on the winter beers. Taste so good, not great for the scale, but sometimes you have to say, who cares, right? Sorry it took me so long to catch up with DM and read this race report. Crazy schedule (non-running) these days!
