  1. RUN
good The Westover Loop 2.99 mi 00:28 09:20 pace

Woo hoo. Guess those squats are paying off! My legs felt strong, and I was rocking each step. Also, it's weird that 39 degrees now seems "warm" to me...

Also, I totally ran by two people who were fencing on their driveway.

I've been acquiring winter gear as I go. And Mark got me fancy running pants. I thought he was ridiculous at first...best pants ever.

  4. RUN
good To Town Point Park and back 4 mi 00:43 10:44 pace

Strayed from my "usual" (using that word a bit liberally here...) and used my handy, dandy new Garmin watch to determine my distance. Ran through downtown, which was mostly deserted since... read more

I got a visual of you dressed up in your red running gear & hat, shaking your booty, hoppin along to your head phones as people stated at you.. But the. I realized you don't dance in public! Ha. Fraud!

Woke up with an election hangover, but still, it was a pleasant run. Lots of hyper squirrels out today.

  11. RUN

Happy to be back after accidentally taking a few days off.

  12. RUN
alright Westover Ave 3 mi 00:29 09:48 pace

This run was rough. Stomach stitches. Achey legs. An uninspired run, for sure. But it's done and now it's coffee time. Woot, woot!

  13. RUN
    alright Westover 3 mi 00:31 10:17 pace

Felt incredibly lazy today and had to force myself to get out there today. Just really worn out from the week. TGIF, y'all.

If you start doing too much math about paces, especially with the heat rising, just switch to thinking about effort and time instead. Love reading that you're back into it! xoxoxo

Fortunately, I'm still low tech so I don't get to caught up in my pace when I'm out there. For now, I just try to find a stride I can hold. Tell me again - what race are you doing in DC later this year? I want to put it on my calendar so I can plan to be there. :)
