    Wanted to do a nice 4 miler. Did a bit of interval training along the way. A couple of trains got in the way. Especially on the way back home...held me up 15 min... Grrrr

    Our school's Fun Run. Ran 2 miles amongst 150 3rd graders on a make shift playground course. Haven't run that far on grass in a long time.

      You will get there. When you set that PR you weren't coming off two half marathons, and you certainly weren't wearing a bag of chips, haha. Too funny man. You get my vote for best, most creative costume.

      Great 3 John! A really simple approach is to run short distances (1/4 mile - 1/2 mile) faster than your 5k goal pace (6:45 min/mil) with slow recoveries in between. Increase those short distances burst gradually over time.
