great Colfax half marathon 13.1 mi 02:03 09:24 pace
Saw elephants, monkeys, flamingos, and half naked firemen!! Hit a PR for this elevation, just 7 or 8 minutes away from my sea level PR. Logistics for this race sucked. We ended up biking and walkin... read more

Becky: I don't think I'll be doing that race again :-( That's terrible for a runner to get lost! I don't feel like the race organizers took the racers much into consideration with their planning. I actually ended up in the wrong corral.... Oh well, we're moving before next years race anyways, so we wont' even be here for it!

tired Find the Car Adventure/Torture 5 mi
At this point it was no longer an adventure, just torture. Even ice cream didn't make it any better. We were both acutely aware of the grade on the edge of the road as our ankles and IT bands ... read more

I'm counting these miles. Rented bikes to get from the Colfax finish as close to the car as we could get. This is the part that was fun cuz it was still an adventure haha

Lol I only warm up that fast when I'm running around soldiers during pt hours. I lose all ability to pace myself when there's someone I can pass. That was a very tiring warm up haha

around the yard!!! 00:20
it was so hot today, I skipped my run, but chased roxy around the yard for a good 20 minutes :-) Good conditioning haha.

Jessica
I've personally never done it. However, I've read articles that talk about splitting up easy paced runs into morning and afternoon at least 2 hours but 4 hours apart is even better. Make sure you get some breakfast into you at least 30 min after the am run, but I wouldn't split up the long run. That's why it's called the LONG RUN!
