I think the course ended up being a bit short. Either way it was a perfect day! It was a bit on the chilly side! I think we started at around 17 degrees and it didn't move much from there! I had the right amount of layers though! I could have used a nice pair of mittens... Steve K. and Marty joined me for 19 miles! I'm so proud of him! We also ran into other friendly faces and also got to meet some new ones! Logan an I ran together for the last loop and a halfish! He dropped me at the last two miles! I couldn't run those hills as quick as him! It was good to meet new people!

Honestly, I'd say this went MUCH better and more smoothly than my first 50k and my first marathon. I kept the heart rate in check and just sailed smooth! NO tummy issues, NO real pain! Just a well oiled machine! Feeling amazing after this! Love every minute!

We got some beautiful sights with 3ish-4ish inches of snow overnight. The commute out to the Kettles was questionable! However so worth it! The fresh powder lining every branch on every tree and falling off when the wind would blow was such an amazing sight! Mixed in with the flurries! gahhhh JUST AMAZING! This is why I do these things! To see this, to feel this way, and to be amazed by the world! I love it! <3
