    I'd forgotten how much I like the elliptical. It felt good. I think I'm going to like this gym. Did 30 min on the elliptical and 20 min of strength training.

      Nice job Jessica. I love pain-free runs! Calves will get the hang of it but make sure to rest them a day or two while they're recovering - if training schedule allows.

      Hang in there, Jessica. There are exercises you can do to strenghen you calf that will help prevent the shin splints. They also help ease the pain of shin splints too. Check out the link:

      Thanks for the links guys. I'm going to do some of those exercises and pay more attention to my form. Hopefully it will get me on the right track by race day--- right around the corner on 5/7!!!

    I ran probably 90% of the time, with a 5 min walk warm up. I felt good. :) Maybe it was my new running skirt I was trying out for the HM. :)
