I wanted to get some dirt time in. Done. This is a pretty tough climb up and down with a rocky rolling section along a cliff in the middle.
While I was up on top I decided I'd like a closer view of the trail so I carefully placed my foot off the trail and used my face, hand and elbow to catch my body as I let gravity take it to the trail.
I fell. I banged my elbow pretty good, cut a finger and scraped my nose and forehead a little. Luckily I wasn't too close to the cliff at the moment. It took me a while to get moving again because my elbow was really sore. I had been carrying a bottle of water in one hand and my phone in the other. I don't think I like to have my hands full when running. My phone got a little scratched and dirty and the bottle was fine but I think I could have fallen more in control if I had some hands available.
Good climb today. A little under 2000' according to Garmin.
