I wasn't too worried about distance or pace today. Just wanted to keep the HR somewhat under control and shake the legs out. I'm down in Sandy visiting family for the weekend. i slept in until 7. It felt good. Took my time getting out the door. Just headed north on the path next to the trax line. Followed the path until it ended at about 85th. Turned back around and as I passed the Jordan track I decided I'd hit it up for some barefoot time. I figured even if the track was too rough I could run on the in field.
I actually thing Jordan's track is much better than Logan's for barefootin'. I ran 8 laps and my feet felt pretty good. My right big toe was a touch raw. Apparently from pushing off. Guess I should work on that. i got a few comments from other people at the track. The usual "doesn't that hurt your feet?" One from a lady who was coaching a bunch of young girls. Good times.
After the track I strapped on my shoes and headed back to my mother in law's house.
