One step closer to tapering. Had a huge work week, 12-hr shift yesterday, 5 hours of sleep and a 3am wake-up call, so this one was sketchy. Casey and I met up with Luke S. at 4am in the usual Forest Park spot. Did an out & back, some loopty lopping and met up with Amy Z., Matt B. & Brian A. around 6am for another lap of Forest Park. Amy & Matt split off after that and Brian and I continued another 4 miles.
My plan was 12 miles then for the next 10 (yes, TEN!) 30 seconds on/30 seconds off. Pretty brutal but ended up being a great distraction from counting miles. Lost count a bazILLION times but Brian took over the counting toward the end and let my mind rest. :) Feels good to have this one in the bank!
