The pace doesn't reflect it because it took into account my 90 second walks but OMG this was SOOO GREAT. I've been intimidated by the looming workout all week, knowing it was going to hurt. Really glad to have the company, Amy Z. and I met up at the Wash U track where the 1904 olympics were held. Something about the place is inspiring--the original stone stairs are still there. Pictured myself back in high school, state meet 4x100 relay where I false started TWICE and DQ'd my team...yeeeeeah. This time I killed it. haha
Warmed up slowly off the track for 3 miles, came back to it, changed into my #GetSome A4's and did 6x1600 repeats with 90sec walk breaks between while Amy busted out a 10k on the track. Goal was to hit a 7:18 for each mile. Actual times were 7:08, 7:16, 7:19, 7:11, 7:10, 6:59
Felt really good for the first 2, by the end of the 3rd I was feeling it, 4 I had to work for, 5 I was suicidal and 6 actually ended up being better than 5.
