blah Thought we were #Bonkproof 12.1 mi 01:42 08:24 pace

What happened to #TeamWickedBonkproof?! I bonked and hard. Even had fresh legs for this one but they weren't enough to battle the 90% humidity. Warmed up for 2.5 (9:53, 8:53, 8:21) then hit 3 miles @MP (7:58, 7:57, 7:56) and was still feeling alright. Floater recover mile @9:16 then 3 progress from MP to HMP (7:59, 7:52 & I was completely falling apart at this time and had to stop twice during the last mile 7:44). I kinda felt that my Garmin was freaking out. I kept pushing the pace but I just could not get the lap pace down! IDK...felt more like a 5k effort. Dragged my sorry A home for another 2.5 (8:52, 9:01, 9:09).

I have easy miles tomorrow and I'm looking forward to them.

Sorry it was such a struggle. On paper it looks pretty darn awesome though! What a great effort. If you felt awesome with these stats I might be too jealous, so it's better this way! Just kidding - you'll feel as awesome as you ARE another day!

You're right in the meat of the intense work in preparation for Indy, so there are going to be times when you just don't have it. Your body will adapt and the next go will be much easier.

Great job getting it done, I would count that as a win the humidity was terrible.
