Woke up all excited to hit 7-Eleven for FREE SLURPEE DAY!!! We just happen to share a BIRTHDAY, so it's extra special. Ran to the closest store (3 miles out), got there at 6:40 and asked, "IS IT FREE SLURPEE DAY?!" Less than enthused the guy said, "Not until 7". OMG For real? I'm 20 minutes early and he's not going to give me the flipping slurpee?! It's all about principle now...UGH. I finally told him it's my birthday and in the snarkiest voice possible he said, "Well, happy birthday". Hmm. Had Casey & Trigg with me and he needed to get home (after 5 miles), so I just left all dejected.
Totally boycotting 7 Eleven stores now. ;)
Did have a nice run, despite the disappointing start--temps are finally bearable and had a great breeze. Hit a crazy amount of hills but it was still a good, relaxing run. Tomorrow no run then running long Friday...hopefully with Brooke!
