Sufferfest. The elevation OWNED me today. Went from 300ft yesterday to 6500ft today. The plan called for a progressive run but with the mountain hills, wind, NO OXYGEN & uneven surfaces I was glad to just finish this. I quit in my head 5 or 6 times but finally gutted it out to the end. Proud of the effort, despite the pace. 9:29, 9:15, 8:54, 9:11, 8:57, 9:10, 9:02, 9:01, 9:00, 8:49 (for .51)

Way to push through. Sounds tough if you aren't used to the elevation.

You SHOULD be proud of this effort..definitely! From an effort level over this distance, you probably exerted like you were running in the 7's...and just gutting every mile out. Way to be!

I think with the terrain and elevation that pace equates to SUPER FAST down here at normal O2 levels:)
