Sleep was a priority this weekend so I woke up late and knew that this run was going to be tough (81 degrees when I woke up). Headed out at 11 am with the goal of a warm-up, 4 miles at 7:10 or faster, and cooldown. That 7:10 goal changed pretty quickly and I just tried to hold on to a 7:30ish pace. (I'm surprised I managed to hit the 7:10 goal for the first two miles, to be honest). I consider this run great heat training before Bayshore next weekend. Taper time! The Speedo dude was out at Oak Street---that's when you really know it's summer. ;) I ran straight to Wendy's at the end of the run for a chocolate frosty and some fries--delish!

Yep, did that yesterday in the mid-day sun. It was only 91 degrees here in Houston and I felt like I was having a hard time holding my pace.
