I don't know what happened here. Worst run in a long time. It's probably from my long run, followed up by several days of two-a-days, back-to-backs, not so great nutrition (I have been neglecting solid meals - movie theater popcorn is a delicious brunch substitute but only when you're not planning to bust out miles the next morning), dehydration and not enough sleep. So to this week, I say "peace out" and will get myself together with a few days off. I will see those running shoes on Tuesday morning, bright and early!

It happens, Girl. Don't sweat it! You're doing right. You going to take a few rest days, regroup, and start again. It's all good. You've got this!

The company and the view made it all worth while, but yuck!

Good persevering Jennifer, and wise to take some time off sounds like!

A few days off never hurt, Jennifer, but I really don't think that is the issue here; it's not that you have overtrained. By your own admission, you've broken some cardinal rules of running (diet, dehydration and sleep). Those are the big 3. Miss it on any one of those and you pay a price--all 3 and you can forget it. You are fine. Your improvement has been obvious. We all slip from time to time. Turn your wounds into wisdom and put those running shoes back on.

Some miles are good and some are less good but in the end they total up to a healthy lifestyle, and a break now and then is teh cherry on the cake. Well done on getting the miles in.
