This was a victory on several levels. First, I did NOT want to run. At all. Spent time pondering why I was even signed up for all these half marathons. And once I got out there, Ieft my intervals at 1/:30 instead of 1:30/:30 and apparently, I busted through with a similar pace. I need to even that out so I can keep on track with K during RnR in Va Beach, but we'll figure it out.

Is this the same woman who was just celebrating her astonishing progress? You're a winner, Jenn. You know better than to talk like this.

I just felt really burned out today. I am achy and tired (not sick, but just done). We are going to be getting some time away from the grind and I am really looking forward to it. I still got out there and made things happen, even if my head wasn't in the game. Nine miles on Sunday, so good times there.

Jenn: That is understandable. It's a part of life. Take a few days off; recharge your batteries & renew your spirit. Just don't allow an attitude of defeat to overtake you. You are too much of a winner for that. Motivation is like the waves of the sea; there are highs and lows. What do good surfers do when the waves are low? They WAIT. They know tall waves will return. Do the same when the waves of motivation are low. The high ones will return, and you will master them.

Nice job! Getting out there when your body and mind say no is REALLY difficult and it takes a strong person to push that feeling aside!

Well done on getting out when everything in you shouts NO! One victory always leads to another.
