Nailed it. My foot was a little sore this morning, but otherwise felt really good. I cannot wait to see how these times translate come December. Also, negative splits: 10:40, 10:10.5, 10:04.6, 46.92. I'll take it!

Super that you felt good, but so sorry to read about your foot. Take good care. It carries you over many miles.

Thanks. It comes and goes - fortunately it's nothing too serious and is more of an inconvenience. After the 1/2 on Labor Day, I'll be at a point where I feel comfortable taking a good week or so off to rest it.

Great splits Jennifer. You'll be amazed on how the speed will translate come fall.

I'm so excited about it. I'm already seeing a huge difference between this year and last year, and I'm just so glad that there is a constant flow of progress.

Whoa!!!! You ran this trio of miles faster than you ran the 5K race on Saturday (pacing your friend). Greater love hath no one than when a friend slows her pace for another. Heheheheheeeeee Heheheheheeeeee I want be like you when I grow up!!!

That "constant flow of progress" was not automatic, Jenn. It was produced by a constant flow of discipline. Super run!

Had a bunch of slow runs all last summer and I thought something was wrong. Come fall next thing I knew I was lowering my PR's on every race I ran.

@Darrell I wanted her to have a great race experience, and that was way more important to me than my time. Sometimes, I'm nice ;) @Mike - last summer, my runs were in the 13:00/mile range! For me, this is out of control!

Wow, Jennifer. I want everyone to have a great race experience, too, but I ain't slowing down for nobody, and I wouldn't want anyone slowing down for me. You are such a sweetie and I am such a meanie. That's why I say I want to be like you when I grow up. -:)

To exhibit such a selfless spirit in a race where everyone is trying to do their best is truly exemplary and inspiring. Your desires were subordinated to hers. It is in giving that we receive; therefore, a lot is coming your way. Have a wonderful day!

Great job on keeping at it. 3 mpm improvement in a year is super good.
