great TM Tempo 5.35 mi 00:45 08:28 pace

Another rainy day, another TM run. Blah. BUT, it seemed to go quickly, so it really wasn't that bad. Mile 1 w/u @ 9:07, then started mile 2 @ 8:49 and hit the + every .50 mi or so until I finished @ 7:30. Some quick strength work after (seated row & lat pulldowns). Also did a little shopping at REI to get a new long sleeve tech shirt for my Half (in obnoxious fluorescent green), and a Brooks running cap that was on sale- sweet!

    That's a great progression, Jen! I try to avoid REI like the plague because I'd go bankrupt. Every time they ask me about becoming a member or telling me that I need to become one I tell them it would be good for them, bad for me, bad for my finances and bad for my marriage :)

    @Joy, OMG, I had that dilemma at the register yesterday! They wanted me to become a member for $20 bucks. Honestly, it would have made sense, seeing as I would have also gotten 20% off my sale...but I only shop there 1-2x a year, and I don't need an additional reason to go there more! Ha ha. @Bill- yes, we will figure something out. I'm not reliable for pre-race, but I will be wearing bright yellow/green, so I'll be easy to find in the crowd!
