    Took a few miles to get warmed up. Cramps in left calf for first three miles then knee was achy around mile 7.

    Last speedwork of the season - 10x800m with 400m walk in between. Each repeat was progressively faster - 5:00 (warm-up), 4:12, 4:07, 4:03, 4:00, 3:59, 3:54, 3:53, 3:52, 3:41 (PR).

    Slower than planned pace but very humid day and route was all hills. Legs are tired but training is winding down, taper for Chicago starts this week. Definitely need to break in a new pair of shoes.

    Cool start for 12 miles into New Haven and back. Eight mile loop on the trail was warmer. Left knee got achy mile 15, side and hip cramps at mile 17. Finished strong - last 1/2 mile at 7:30 pace.

    Decent pace for a hilly recovery run after yesterday's brutal 20 miler. Mile 6 at 9:01 pace. Leg cramps much better but still a bit nauseous.
