    Run for Missions 5K 3.1 mi

    Followed the PT and ran a quarter and walked a quarter. Felt pretty good, plan was to be under 40 and I did that easy. Bonus we picked up our new family member Daisy the golden retriever.

    More walk than run but off and on walk/ run. Running no more then 1/4 mile at a time. Knee feel good for now but the rest of my body hurts.

    15 mins of peddling makes tired legs and heavy breathing for fatboy.

    10 mins no pain and it felt great to do something.

  5. PT has released me to bike 10 min and if it doesn't hurt I can increase that by 5 mins until I'm at 30 mins. Hard to believe it has only been a week since surgery.

  6. Surgery is done and the road to recovery lies ahead. No ligament damage praise The Lord.

      well, you could always tell your doctor what I told my doctor when he told me I needed to stop running...."okay!!" :) except mine was just a year out, not forever. Time to buy a bike!

      Sorry to hear the news. Cycling has been good for my brother Scott. He broke both femurs and had hip and knee replacement. 3 weeks ago he did the "Ride the Rockies" tour. 500 mi. through the rockies. Praying for you.

  15. My 8 yr old sent me a text today that said "Hi and I want to race with you". She is referring to the Color Me Rad race in May. Made my heart proud!

    I didn't know if my legs would work after yesterday but once I got started I just kept going. Some how I managed a 3rd place finish for my age group so bringing home some extra bling.
