That's a great way to do things, and I've read lots of recommendations for training by time rather than distance. Nice job!

  2. RUN
    good Neighborhood 1 mi 00:10:00 10:00 pace

Went around 5:30. There's was actually a cool breeze.

  3. RUN
good Audubon Park 3.73 mi 00:48 12:44 pace

Met up with a group of runners. Did more talking than running. I'd never ran there before. I'll definitely be going back.

  4. RUN
good SLHS toward golf course with ... 2.37 mi 00:30 12:36 pace

This is my personal best. Going again next weekend. Love how running with others really pushes you to do more than you thought you could.

  5. RUN
    great Treadmill 1 mi 00:13:00 13:00 pace

    My time is getting better.

  6. RUN
    good Treadmill @ Home 1 mi 00:15:00 15:00 pace

Did this last night after work. Never run after work because of the heat but since I have the TM on borrow for a couple of weeks I jumped on and did an easy mile.

  7. RUN
    great Treadmill @ Home 1 mi 00:15 15:13 pace

This is my second time on the TM. I set it on 4 and did a slow jog for the whole mile. I never did that before outside. The heat always slows me down. The TM is temporary since I'd rather be o... read more

Thanks. I'm sticking to the treadmill a couple times a week so the heat doesn't slow me down.

  9. FIT
    good Home

No run today to give my legs a rest. Instead, 100 crunches and 20 pushups.

  10. RUN
    alright Neighborhood 1.04 mi 00:12:05 11:37 pace

I gave myself a rest day yesterday because my shins were hurting so bad. They're hurting again after this run. Guess I'll be taking Ibuprofen til I no longer hurt.

If you try to run through shin splints you will never see the light of day. Try ibuprofen two hours before the run to keep them from inflaming and stay off of em' as much as possible. Those ate me up in my early running stages. Other causes could be, lack of stretching, shoes, etc...GOOD LUCK!

Thanks! I like to run around 5:30am so I'll just have to make sure I take ibuprofen when I wake up at 4. I tried stretching before. I may need actual running shoes. I'm only using regular fitness ones.

The shoes were my demise. They make those tension wraps also. I like phiddipidies for shoes. They literally put every shoe in the store on and make you walk around. Its nice feeling the difference. Plus they will pick shoes that are padded where you need it based on how your feet hit the ground.

  11. RUN
    alright Neighborhood 0.89 mi 00:10:56 12:17 pace

If it wasn't for my shins killing me, I'd kept going.

  12. FIT
    good Home 00:30

Started a new level with Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis. Kicked my ass as usual. Loosened my tight leg muscles after running cold two days ago.

  13. RUN
    alright Neighborhood 1.19 mi 00:15 12:56 pace

Got queasy toward the end. Empty stomach again. Just can't eat this early.

  14. RUN
    good Neighborhood 0.56 mi 00:12:56 23:05 pace

5:30am was a perfect time to run. Not hot, no cars, birds singing, just enough light. Got a cramp in my side so that slowed me down. Couldn't get to a mile.

  15. RUN
    tired Neighborhood 1 mi 00:10:00 10:00 pace

That little voice in my head kept telling me I can't do this. I need to learn to control my breathing more. It tires me out too quickly.

  16. FIT
great Short run then Tracy Anderson... 01:00

It was really dark in my neighborhood at 4:30am. If there was a snake in the road, I'd have stepped on it. Will try to go the same distance but run it more than walk/run. Used my new app to tr... read more
