Ten miler didn't happen this morning. Geez, I'm already over winter and it's only mid-November. 34 degrees at the start, GI issues, legs that weighed a ton; it all combined to defl... read more

Excellent long run this morn. 3 min run/2 min walk, had enough in the tank to run the last mile, then walked 1/2 mile cooldown. My man ran with me, the weather was nice, trail wasn't crowded, ... read more

Such a fun day. Logistics were tough trying to catch the elite men at various points around the city. Caught them at the 2 mile mark or so in Brooklyn, then the 24 mile mark in Central Park. Tried ... read more

It was big fun, Jeff. And, I got to get out of the brutal wind and go eat after the professional men finished, unlike the poor runners. Spectating was a fun change this time, but I think I'm ready to race again. Almost.

There haven't been any running miles this week between getting work finished and travel, but I knew it would be ok since we love exploring NYC on foot. Two long days of walking around Manhatta... read more

You are going to see MEB?? Wow! So great! I hope you have a great time. I was telling my husband that i was a little sad for you since one of your favorite races is coming up and it doesn't look like you are going to be able to do it. What will you be doing instead??

I'm going to run the Kaiser Realty Orange Half Marathon the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's the last race I ran, so it'll be one year to the say between races. I'm not ready to race it yet, I'm just going to run it like a training run. I can't wait to see Meb!

Well, I'm not sure what I'll be doing can really be classified as running, but it's forward movement, slightly faster than a walk. ;)

Nice, slow run on the backcountry trails. Spectacular weather, nice scenery, listening to a great book, can't ask much more than that.

I'm listening to the Outlander series (again). Kind of racy, so not really for family consumption, but great if you're listening on long runs. There are 9 volumes so far and I'm on the third one right now (Voyager). This is a series I like so much that I have all the books in print and in audio.

And, the run was really 8 miles, with another for warm-up and cool down. Just increasing a mile each week, and since I'll be in NYC this weekend, I'm probably just going to run 5 on Saturday, because we plan on chasing Meb through the boroughs by subway on Sunday as he runs.
