Psalm 16:7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

Reins/Discipline teach us. If we have let the "gift" do its work we can get this stuff done even in the night season when we can't see so well! I loved your post! Great read! Did you happen to read RW's article on the Egress?? Reminded me of our conversation the other day!! :P

No, haven't read that article. I'm behind on my RW reading for some reason. I'll look it up this week.

Don't worry about speed yet- just practice unclipping a lot. The first time I fell after making the switch was when I got so used to them I just forgot and coasted to a stop and boom, fell over sideways in slow motion.

Yeah, you have to remind yourself to think ahead when coming up on a stop sign so you unclip one foot in time. If you forget and try to unclip when you need to put your fut on the pavement, that creates a big whoopsie

Right now, I'm overly conscious of it. It's like Laura said, it's when I get used to it that I'll probably have a crash.

Weather wasn't awful, ran this path for the first time. Nothing special, but it's nice when municipalities make special running/cycling paths to keep you out of traffic.
