Ran it in VFFs. Great until 21Km, then it was steep rocky downhill, conventionally shod runners pounded past me as I tiptoed through the minefield of caltrop like stones. Got a few back on the uphi... read more

As they say, running is an experiment of one. Focussed on form and core, look after the posture and the foot strike looks after itself. Concentrated on driving from the hips, and relaxing in the lo... read more

Hi Farra, not yet. I have seen doctors but they have just focus on the treating the symptom not the cause. I will seek physio advice next week. I'm military, and a mate who had this problem and was dealt with by the system was operated on.
Though reading about onset symptoms of compartment synrome I am feeling confident in the conclusion I have come to.almost 3 years ago • Like

good Physical fitness test 2.4 km 00:09:15 06:12 pace
Part of my annual fitness test, situps and pushups also involved for my job. Really an un-fitness test, at my age they give me 15 minutes to finish. But I love beating the 20 year olds.

@ Alesa, just be careful which way you pat him.
@ Dave, do you find you tend to sneak up on a lot of things barefooted, People, wildlife, wild pigs? I'm not looking forward to snake season here, we have some very deadly varieties.almost 3 years ago • Like

Yes, mostly rabbits and deer for me with the occasional scorpion or snake. Most of the snakes I've seen are poisonous. Fortunately, they never seem to be interested in me, but it is unnerving when they are sunning themselves on the trail.
