    Beautiful scenery in the north with some amazing hairpin descents before the killer climb ... 22km with about 5000ft height gain. The last bit had some serious gradients ... 15deg +! Epic.

      Have a look at the geography of Tenerife! There's a chuffing great mountain in the middle! We're going to the very top tomorrow, by car, cable car and foot :)

    Hotel to Las Americas then up to TF1 and along service ride till the 20ml mark. Quicker return. Good steady ride. Approx 3300ft by Garmin; 3800ft by Strava!

      We recce'd the mountain yesterday and are discussing the plan over sangria now - it involves a 28km climb to gain about 1500 metres ... The heat is ok; none of us worship the sun but we are creamed/covered up as appropriate.

    Over 6500ft of climbing. Steady away with no macho bravado. The 13km/700m ascent was immense; the 12km descent something else... Great!
