I didn't feel as good or as strong as the last time out, but I still finished three laps on the dirt track and feel alright. I'm starting to look forward to running again!!!

Rachelle, there is some debate about whether it is a stress fracture or a bone bruise in the ball of my foot. X-rays were negative, but either way, I still have some swelling and discomfort. Nothing that I won't survive!

Ugh! I know the ball of the foot pain all too well. I fractured one of the pea sized bones in the ball of my foot a couple of years ago. It took about 12 weeks for it to heal and then much longer for the pain to go away. I ended up doing some physical therapy which helped and I wear custom orthotics. I hope you have a speedy recovery! It's good you are easing into it although your pace seems a bit fast. ;-)
