      I've been underwhelmed by the... atmosphere... of Lifetime Fitness when I've been in to their clubs, which makes me nervous about a race they put on, honestly. Maybe I'll check it out some time, though, if you've heard good things...

      Interesting! I haven't been to the Y, but have been a member of Lifetime for five years now and really like it. Of course, maybe it depends on the location. I love, love, love the one in Fridley and I also go to the one in Coon Rapids. It probably isn't as family oriented as the Y may be, so that could also make a difference (however I am single that aspect doesn't matter at this point to me!)!
