    First run post-marathon. Felt good, worked out some kinks, found that the Achilles pain lingers, but ultimately really needed this run!

      Hey! Stop that right now. I know the race didn't go as you dreamed. I know. However, you still powered through all your pain and got a very respectable time. Plus you ran your 4th marathon. Could 25 year old you have envisioned this incredible athlete that you've become?! You are stronger and faster then you have ever been. In the words of Taylor Swift...Shake it Off.

      Not a disappointment at all! You finished a marathon! And sub-4:30 is something many people dream of :) I know it's not what you wanted but there are many, many more races in your future!
