      You want to wear a bikini, put it on! Wearing what YOU want is akin to being your own person and no one else's thoughts or opinions should deter you from doing it! IMHO, that's part of what being free is. If you're one to judge a person for wearing a bikini because there are bulges here and there, then the magazines that portray what a lot of people see as the perfect body, 'ONLY' the slim and trim, with the perfect face, are for you.   13. How do you think I would do if I went to a non Military community run? I am getting out of the Army and moving and just curious if I could mybe place on some of the local runs.

      If it's a local community run (like hosted by a running store) and not a race it's about camaraderie and not placing. Check your ego at the door. If you're asking about realistically placing at a race in a different community, well your chances are as good as the rest of us. Effort in and smart training with rest usually is equivalent to the results you want! You're just getting back into running regularly, so just enjoy it and have some fun. Meet some people!

      Here's a link to race results in Georgia James: http://www.rungeorgia.com/results2012.html I agree with Brie about fast runners in races. I would suggest that you register in a race with multiple distances: 5km , 10 km, and more. Most fast runners want the longer races, 10 km and over. Did that last year and was first in the women's 5 k 'cause all the fast ladies were doing the 10. ;+)
