Still a great race, James, despite all the issues... Getting no water at the aid stations really sucks, no matter how short the race.

But you also have to train your tastebuds because processed food tastes good for a reason. Those addictives are addicting. I eat this type of stuff all the time though so I'm used to it. I pull from what's in season & make various salad combos in the morning. It's not hard, but for the first time you have to pre-think a few meals at least. It's about the prep during a day off though - then if you have healthy options you're more inclined to pull from there.

I think that really defines who is truly "elite" - someone who could (and often does) run a whole lot faster, yet runs with someone slower as an encouragement.

I come home from work after 10 pm and usually pig out on yougurt, cereal, fruits etc. Might sound healthy, but too much of the good stuff also adds to the waistline. Thanks for sharing and the reminder. We can do this! :+)

no no Heather...I love snacking late, that is the problem. I fear when I start back to school I will stress and eat to comfort myself. I start Monday, that is why I am challenging myself early and trying to get my bike fixed so when I stress I take a break and take a ride.
