Started off very slow as the hill at the back of the cottage was very steep, I must admit I did walk up most of it (phew) a varied run this morning as the way up hill through woods had no trail so it was slow going, it opened up to grassy fields, nice trails at the top a bit rocky but very enjoyable, beautiful views of the surrounding hills, lake and the little village of Hawkshead in the distance, there were little tarns (mini lakes) that looked like they would be good to swim in, I did stop to take a few pics as it was so beautiful,This is why I love to run trails, fresh air and open countryside, never saw peter rabbit though :(

A shame about missing Peter but the rest sounds gorgeous. Will you post the pictures please?

Great pace for 7 miles, especially considering you were stumbling over rough terrain!
