started of not too bad this morning but I felt my legs were just not with me at all, heavy and sluggish feeling, although the route is a fairly flat tow path I just couldn't get my legs to open the pace, I'm so used to a trail cadence that's got a short stride I found it harder to take longer strides, I also had a bit of a strain building in my right glute at the last 5k, BUT, I beat my PB on this route which was 1.54, I was very surprised, :)

Sorry to hear the run didn't go as you would have liked, but wow..congrats on the PB!

Nice half PB James. What do you think was the reason for the heavy legs? Ps: Don't forget to roll out your butt cheek!

@Tracy, Im not sure why I felt so bad this morning, I ate whole wheat waffles with chocolate spread an hour before run and had a carb/caffeine gel at the halfway point, but I just didn't seem to perform as I should have, rest day tomorrow and Physio app too

Nice run James. Sorry you weren't feeling it but was happy to see that you managed a PB on this one despite the sluggish feelings. Sometimes that's when we dig deepest.
