16 Miles. Farthest I have run since last year. Was not sure how far I would go... made it through six with Alyce M. and Leanne O. ... thought I'd run to 7 and do 14... but got to 7, figured I should go to 8... got to eight... figured I should go back! My fueling was off a bit in the second half hour of the run, since I was gabbing. Corrected that and felt good. Knees and feet were not thrilled with the concrete... Sweetwater, my ass! Concrete Jungle is a better name for that place!
Cranked up the speed a bit for 3-4 miles and was glad when I hit a short stretch of dirt. Then caught up Alyce and Leanne with 2 miles left. I was toast. Good to run with them for most of the rest (although Alyce saying attack one of the hills was not good - started cranking up the hills!). Saw a baby and parent coyote close to the end. Ran in the new Saucony 4mm Mirages. Second run in them. Liked them, but need a bit of a stride adjustment. Cadence was up, but needs to be higher with the 4mms on concrete. Iced feet, threw on compression. Drank 80 oz of water! Probably could have drank a bit more, but not much. Also took electros in a separate bottle, which worked well again. Should have started at 5 or 530 - damn hot by the time I was done. Also ran into Norman M. (we waited for him), Al H., David P., Matt... and Tinka for a minute. 840' up and down.

Nice job man! I didn't see you pre-run but it was great to chat with you after the run. Thanks for waiting up for me...I wasn't fast enough to catch you!

Headache even with 80oz of water? Did you drink electrolytes post-run?

@Jeanne... that's my point, just doing a longer run than you are used to, can cause a bit of one. It was minor, but it was more triggered by shoulder and neck muscles not being used to that mileage.2 advil sold it. And I drank 6 enduro pills...
