5 x 5 VO2 Drills. Extremely hard workout riding out and back in what seemed like a strong headwind both ways. I hope this does not impact my legs for tomorrow's ride in the Berkeley Hills.

Easy spin around Westside, Old Redwood, Starr, Slusser and River Road with Jo Ann for her first ride off the trainer since last Saturday's ride. Bummer is that we went to her PT session today and she was told in no uncertain terms that she is not to r... read more

Berkeley to Mt. Diablo and back. What a great day (until the very end) for a long distance climbing ride. Left Berkeley at 8:30 under slightly cloudy skies and almost immediately hit a 1/2 mile climb that edged into 15% grades, not the best way to wa... read more

Nice Jon! You are certainly getting the miles in. Nice to be able to ride with sun and less clothing for a change.
4 days agoP.S. What altimeter/gadget are you using for your rides? I find myself becoming a bit of a numbers-junky...
4 days agoYes to the less clothing, first ride this year with no arm or leg/knee warmers. It was nice to ride in 73 degrees. Regarding the computer, I use a Garmin 705, but one of the team members Dan Pannell just bought a Garmin 500 and thinks it is great. The advantage is that it costs half of what I paid for the 705 so you can ping Dan about it or just call Steve at WCR as he can probably get you a good price.
