  1. RUN
good Tyngsboro Bridge and Back 17.25 mi 03:14 11:14 pace

Slow run just to see if I could do it. 17+ miles is my longest distance to date. This was to stack it with yesterdays run to see how I would react to 31 miles. All is good for the 50K ultra at the ... read more

  2. RUN
good Bruce Freeman Trail 13.6 mi 02:28 10:52 pace

Third 1/2 marathon distance in one week. Going long tomorrow with a 17 miler. Wore the new Ultimate Direction Hydro pack. It will take some time to adjust, but overall, a good run.

  3. RUN
    good Treadmill 6 mi 01:00 10:00 pace

For the first time the new Garmin was spot on with time and mileage. No need for a foot pod. I am loving this watch more and more each day.

  4. RUN
    good Treadmill 9 mi 01:30 10:00 pace

Nice, easy pace watching the movie "Daddy's Home". Goofy, but it made it go by quite fast. Weather too ick to run outside.

  5. RUN
Bruce Freeman Trail 13.6 mi 02:30 11:01 pace

Recovery run. Stacked some miles in preparation for my 50K next month

  6. RUN
    13.1 mi 02:03 09:22 pace

My fourth half marathon to date. This was a rough one with headwinds of 12+ mph for 4 miles. Under fueled so I paid the price. I still PR'd by 4 minutes so I was quite happy!

  8. RUN
    good Treadmill 6 mi 01:00 10:00 pace

Tried out the new Brooks Launch shoes today. They have a lower drop than what I am used to. Not too bd, but I will see how I feel tomorrow. Took it slow tonight as I need to be cognizant of my 1/2 ... read more

Nice miles in the Launch, J-lo. I used to use the Launch as my race shoes. I'm considering buying a pair of the new upgrade. Let me know how you like them.

I like them, Hashi. Nice and light. Still cautious because of the drop and I could feel the achilles being stretched. Going to wear once a week until I am totally comfortable

good Nashua River Trail 24 mi 01:47 13.5mph pace

Nice ride today. Giving my legs a running/walking break. Pretty important considering I have a 1/2 marathon on Saturday...

  10. RUN
good Around the Charles 8.7 mi 01:32 10:34 pace

Gorgeous run around Boston. So many runners! You would think there was something big going on. :-0

  11. RUN
Merrimack River Trail 9 mi 01:44 11:33 pace

Beautiful day along the river. Didn't realize I forgot my iPod/headphones until mile 2. But I didn't need them. Listened to the pine needles crunching under my feet, the chipmunks scurryi... read more

Be sure to check for ticks after your run. There was an article a few days ago stating that tick season has started. Last year I found a tick on my leg after running the Merrimack Trail, but I was able to brush it off.

That is so true, John. I have all natural repellant that I am gonna try. I got bit by one last year and I don't want that happening again!

  12. RUN
good Bay Circuit Trail 6 mi 01:08 11:20 pace

Slow go of it. Trail running is hard and this 6 miles kicked my rear end! But I love it. Didn't wait for the rain to stop and because of the rain jacket I overheated. Lesson learned. Ran again... read more

Bay Circuit Trail 5.57 mi 01:37 17:24 pace

Went to check out a trail that runs along the south side of the river. I have been meaning to do this for 4 or 5 years and I just happened to remember it today! The intention was to go for a long w... read more

Running along the Merrimack trail is one of my favorite runs, but trudging through mud, not so much!

good Lowell River Loop 7.5 mi 01:21 10:48 pace

Still cold, but most of the 5-6 inches of snow along the river has melted. Looking forward to warmer days.

  17. RUN
    great 8 mi 01:30 11:15 pace

Slogged through a pretty intense spring snowstorrm. Sidewalks not plowed, but the Salomon spikes got me thru it safely. Then I cane home to shovel 5 or 6 inches of snow.

  18. RUN
good Run for the Troops 5K 3.1 mi 00:26 08:22 pace
