First day of summer, first cycling commute to work! Everything went smoothly, I took my time and didn't really 'gun it' as I didn't want to arrive a sopping mess at my office. I ended up getting to work earlier than I normally do with time to spare. Funny how that happens! There was one hill that had me reaching for the granny gears but I never stopped so I'm proud of that (though I was perilously slow near the 'summit' :P ) .
I know people commute every day and it's not a big deal to them, but it's so much fun for me to turn around in my office, see my bike and think "I powered myself to work this morning with that thing" - still smiling hours after the fact!
