Team Running from the Kids placed FIRST! Mills and I both had GREAT times!
The weather was near perfect with only a slight mist. I cannot believe for January, we had almost 70 degree weather! Mills picked me up at 5:20am, she loaded the bus for the 2nd leg at 6:15am, and I took off for the first leg at 6:45am. I completed my portion right as the sun was coming up! It was a GREAT course! It almost seemed easy, I am totally doing the half next year! I started with the 1:55 pace group, but quickly pulled away...
I am proud to say that I held a pretty steady pace, one that I wasn't sure I was going to hit. Mills nicely informed me on Friday that I need to run 8:50s...I cannot believe I beat that! Ran 6.36 miles in 54 minutes which came to 8:29 avg miles!
