Eastside of Townlake: Not a single human soul. There was a large hawk/falcon/mystery bird perched right next to foot bridge. I literally stopped, stared at it, and said out loud "You are such a badass bird." It just stared back at me.
Baseball Fields Metz Park: There is a field of lush greeness that smells like parsley.
Water jugs at MoPac Bridge: I finally saw the mystery RunTex dude that changes out the water in his white pick-up. I thanked him.
Southside of Trail: Everyone in Austin, Texas knows there were snowflurries, wind, and cold today. So my face broke out into a giant smile when I saw a guy running in jean shorts, no shirt singing to himself "Come on feel the noise! Girls rock your boys!"
The rest of the way: I had to count in my head to keep myself focused on finishing running. I kept losing focus by thinking about the food I will eat later at Alamo Draft House. Dang, girl, dang!

Sounds like a great run Ingrid. I saw a white squirrel on the trail the other day. Amazing all the things you can see down there.

I think that guy is my new hero. You come in at a close second for running so far in the cold today!

I have yet to see an albino squirrel. I'll keep looking. @Brette, I'm determined to be that guy's friend.
