good SMP 'Almost' Marathon Run 26 mi

My longest training run to date! Went nice and easy with Coleen for about the first 15 and she headed out to the Lawrence Parade. Also had the company Rachael and her friend who ran trail for the first time for one loop. Met Deb who killed 3 days last weekend and was out for her first run with her hubby out there as well. Just trotted slow and steady, tried to keep an a good pace on the walk breaks and took them as needed. Fueled and stayed hydrated and salted. Met Beck I. as she was starting out her long run today. We started out together, but I let her go ahead as I was starting to tire a little and didn't want to keep her back. The sun was starting to come out and I could feel I was taking in more water as I was getting warmer. Kept trotting and walking as needed and mixed in a bit of the red trail to add miles. Scheduled plan called for 22..shot for 24 and decided why not go for 26 instead. Last 4 miles had a few more walk breaks, but managed to keep moving, drinking, eating and salting to log my longest training run to date!
I was definitely starting to feel my tail bone area from where I fell yesterday get a little more sore after about 20miles and feet were getting a little tight. But nothing that stopped me from wanting to stop. Came home did an Epsom salts bath to help with the soreness, food, some stretching and nap. All in all felt pretty good about this run especially going into this next week where I will be logging an even longer training run!! Good Weather even if its was a little muggy! Mostly cloudy for the first half helped. Great company definitely helped!

Happy St. Patty Day All!! Now its time for a some beer :)
