Once again I am way undertrained for this ultra in 2 weeks. Where I was prolly trained for a 5k at AR50, I feel like I am prolly trained for a 10k right now. So that's improvement. Much prefer your approach - double the race amount and terrain for training. Although beneficial, not practical at distances above 30k.

Been there done that Hugh. :) Love it! I love trails with ladders and rock climbing elements as they remind me of the trails in the Polish Tatra mountains. But man it must have been HOT there today! Its a winter/spring type of place. See any condors? Saw one there once.

Should have known the Queen of Trails would have conquered this. 96 degrees :/ Maybe that's why there were campsites available on short notice. No condor sightings but lottsa buzzards, swifts, scrub jays, tiny blue birds, rabbits, 14" long lizard and a snake with a yellow stripe.
