7:40am- missed the team when I started since I had to drop off Isabelle at daycare. I don't know what it is about Wednesday's but I have been feeling great on Wednesdays. I'm SUPER pumped at my pace on this. I wanted to do the 2nd half of the Bix course since tomorrow's Bix @ 6 it will be close to 100 degrees outside. I'm a runner. I'm a little nuts. But I'm not that nuts. Did a short 0.6 mile warmup to the potty and to the bottom of McClellen at the Bix turn around. I just wanted to keep it clippy and steady on the hill and then again on Kirkwood. I hit the hard part on Kirkwood at Bridge and it didn't bother me that much. I kept the pace and just chugged it out. Granted I didn't do the 1st half of the course but that's mostly downhill other than up Middle Rd/Mclellan. My goal for the Bix is to break 60 minutes for the 7 mile course and today's run gave me a lot of confidence I can do it. I really wish I would not have forgotten my GPS because I want to see my pace through this thing. Towards the end I felt a little fatigued, mostly because I haven't been doing long intervals at all this year, just short things (due to track). Would like to do some 1000s and 1200s someday before the Bix. Got back and stretched, learned some sign language and laughed it up with some of the girls and all the coaches. Moments like these make you happy.
