Ran twice past the spot where I fell, nearly three weeks ago, and nothing happened! Yeah! More muggy weather and more gusty winds.
Thx everyone! And Rick, a lady doesn't spit, curse or flip you-know-what :-) But I couldn't help but laugh when I saw a sign saying "Caution" in big black letters on yellow freshly painted on the sidewalk. Too bad they put the sign at the bottom of the hill, because I fell going down from the top of the hill :-)

Recovering from yesterday's long run with my buddy Mike. Muggy out there, and windy too!
The tornado threat is West of us for now, Petite. The DFW area should be fine though.

Wow! Was it muggy out there today! And very windy too! It is tank top from now on! Anyway, this was another nice long run with my usual partners in crime.
Great way to spend a Sunday!

Please welcome a brand new Ironman! My friend John crossed the finish line!!! And on his two feet too!
Not at all, I am thinking getting nutrition and hydration dialed in is more important then the training itself.

I ended up walking with my buddy Mike. Overcast, kind of coldish at times, not surprising after last night thunderstorms (and tornadoes South of the Metroplex).
Great article, Helene. I like the "agnostic" approach to diet.

I agree, Mr. F. When I was in my 20s, I followed Weight Watchers diet, and it worked wonderfully because WW doesn't forbid any food group. It also teaches how to eat more fruits and veggies. For example, I learnt to cook less rice by adding veggies such as broccoli or carrots in the rice.

Kind of like "all things in moderation." I have cut out doughnuts, period. When I couldn't drive last fall, I couldn't go to the Kwik Trip for a newspaper every morning -- and the 3 for a dollar blueberry doughnuts. I was forced to do without and now I don't even miss them!

Same here. Last time hubby went on a business trip, I bought myself some ice cream (Haagen Dasz chocolate with chocolate chips) and I didn't even enjoy it! Ended up throwing half of it in the sink. One can change one's diet because taste and preferences can be changed. These days I have more pleasure eating an apple or a banana than eating ice cream or even chocolate!
