Excellent run with my non-spousal running partner and Motivator In Chief, Emily :) Much less pain than last week's long run and a great opportunity to familiarize myself with the marathon route.

It was hot in there today. Red in the face and sweating like crazy by the end of the run. I've only been running 2 to 3 times in the last few weeks. Life gets crazy busy these days. I think I need ... read more

alright Treadmill at the Y 6 mi 01:05 10:50 pace
Not a particularly good run, but better than I expected as I hadn't run in a week.

Yay for 6 miles, And thats a terriffic pace! Why wasn;t it a good run? The shins still giving you hell? The lake walk is great, I usually start in the rose garden and head east so I cant say about the canal park area but definitly worth it if you can get out there.

The last two miles were really a struggle. Red in the face and huffing like it was a long run. Also, post run GI issues for a few hours afterward. Definitely felt the loss in conditioning. But, hey, I did 6 miles and in the big picture I know that is awesome!

Fantastic run. No really, it felt so good I followed it up with full-body strength training, a half-hour rowing, and 20 minutes on the cross-country ski machine thing. Best workout I've had in months.

good treadmill at the Y 4.5 mi
Could have kept going, but had to stop in time to get ready for work. Why doesn't everybody just pitch in and pay me to workout all day? You know, like for a living? My idea of heaven.
