  1. RUN
good Rose Bowl 10.02 mi 01:40 09:58 pace

My run was great (scheduled for 6 easy, 6 GMP, 1 easy, 2 GMP, 1 easy totalling 16 miles). The 4 miles I ran at GMP were right on the money.

Some asshole in an RV decided to be creepy and jack-i... read more

  2. RUN
    good 6.01 mi 00:59 09:46 pace

Lovely day for a run. Scheduled 5-6.

Learned that my Cornfield option for running is out of commission for a while! Oh no! They've got it closed off for improvements.

  3. RUN
alright North Hollywood Park 4.18 mi 00:42 10:09 pace

Too hot, a little limpy. But I knocked out my run before I saw my chiropractor (now I'm on rest until Saturday night).

  4. RUN
alright Rose Bowl 7.41 mi 01:12 09:44 pace

Scheduled 7-8 miles w/ 20 minute progression and 3 cutdowns. I dreaded this workout all day because I'm a) still paranoid about my cranky adductor, and b) haven't done speed workout sinc... read more

  5. RUN
    good Cornfield 5.01 mi 00:50 09:57 pace

Still slightly chicken with what turns out to be an adductor injury. But I knocked out my 4-5 miles and 5 strides. Lovely moonrise tonight.

  6. RUN
injured LA River bike path 5.14 mi 00:53 10:18 pace

So I ran 32 miles last week, no problem. And this week, I got off the toilet wrong...slipped slightly and pulled my groin a little. Not quite sure yet whether to consider myself on the injured li... read more

Be careful!!! Sounds like you're not on the injured list... yet. Don't put yourself there by pushing too hard.

  7. RUN
good Ragnar Socal ultra legs 29-30 8.02 mi 01:32 11:28 pace

And another 6 minutes of signals! And 400 feet elevation gain! Mean place to stick a hill, you know, right at the end of my 32 mile Ragnar!

I do think I would've loved that hill if I hadn&#... read more

  8. RUN
good Ragnar Socal ultra legs 17-18 9 mi 01:33 10:20 pace

Already sore from running 15 miles. This would've been a nice leg (another 6 minutes of signals) except for the mean hill with 300 feet elevation change over less than a mile! But I love me ... read more

  9. RUN
    good Ragnar Socal ultra - legs 5-6 15.2 mi 02:31 09:54 pace

This stretch of Ragnar through Irvine made me hate signals! Normally, signals are a nice break in running to rest. NOT WHEN YOU LOSE 13 MINUTES total! Recorded my actual moving time here, instea... read more

  10. RUN
alright South Pasadena track 3.13 mi 00:30 09:33 pace

    3-4 mile easy...Ragnar, here I come!

  11. RUN
tired South Pasadena track 3.39 mi 00:31 09:12 pace

Wonderful run, but I'd only had 1.5 hours sleep! 3-4 miles easy + 5 strides. Easy week in prep for Ragnar this weekend.

  12. RUN
    good Cornfield 4 mi 00:37 09:17 pace

4 easy miles including 5 strides. Got caught up with a high school group running and ran faster than intended for easy...their coach kept going to log my time and realizing I wasn't one of them.

  13. RUN
good 4 Mile Hill Challenge 7.77 mi 01:26 11:01 pace

1 mile warmup, 4 mile race (48:24 w/ 800 feet of elevation change), and 2.7 mile cooldown. I'm definitely not a strong trail runner - downhills on rough terrain TERRIFY me. But this is a loc... read more

  14. RUN
good LA River Bike Path 4 mi 00:42 10:24 pace

Scheduled 4 mile "jog". Such a beautiful day today and I was able to escape work before dark to go run in the river. Lots of ducks. And since this was supposed to be a slow run, I was ... read more

  15. RUN
good Rose Bowl 6.06 mi 01:00 09:51 pace

Scheduled 6 miles easy w/ 6 strides. Felt fine, even though I got a much later start than I wanted.

  16. RUN
good Venice Golf Course 5.01 mi 00:50 09:59 pace

Another hot day - a bit of ptsd running at noon near where I'd slowly finished my marathon the week before. A little bit of hot and uncomfortable. When I got in the car, I discovered it was ... read more

  17. RUN
great Rose Bowl 3.08 mi 00:30 09:48 pace

So nice to go for a run! I was losing my mind sitting on my butt for recovery week!

  18. RUN
blah LA Marathon 26.47 mi 04:52 11:02 pace

Boo...I was all set to have an awesome race. And then weather happened. The finish at the beach was 87 degrees (a record high). I don't even know what the rest of it was, other than hot.

great South Pasadena Track 2.37 mi 00:22 09:14 pace

It felt spectacular to run after nothing since Sunday. I saw my chiropractor Tuesday to work out my cranky knee and needed to take a couple days off after. Hopefully this is a good sign for Sunda... read more
