good Energy Lab 16 mi 01:00 16.0mph pace
After a warm up, 6 x 4 minute climbing sets between 80-110% of ftp, recoveries 2-3 minutes. Ouch. Tonight my favorite instructor, Bethany, was there instead of the regular instructor. She normally ... read more

RUN
good Peachtree International 6.2 mi 01:08 11:00 pace
When I got to transition I was really upset with how I had done on the bike. I started crying and must have looked pathetic because a complete stranger gave me a hug. I had what must have been the ... read more

You are so awesome for persevering through nasty conditions and unpleasant circumstances, Heather! Definitely use this as a learning experience and especially recognize how mentally strong you are for getting yourself to the end no matter what you had to do to get there!

good Peachtree International Tri 25 mi 01:31 16.4mph pace
Instead of swim, bike, run this event became a stand around in the rain, bike, run. While I was setting up my transition spot, a volunteer offered me a trash bag to wear because I didn't bri... read more

Heather, read my race report from last week's mountain madness. There are rarely perfect conditions for a race. We ALL want to quit at some point because it hurts, you're cold, etc. The true battle is not on the race course...it's on our minds. You won that battle today!

Congrats:
Heather you are totally awesome for completing this ride! Another friend of mine did this event as well and she said it was really, really tough and that the raindrops were really cold even if the air temp wasn't. Amazing!

good Silver Comet 32.44 mi 02:03 15.8mph pace
A little out and back on the Silver Comet. I have a triathlon next weekend and given my lack of training, I am pretty sure it will be a sufferfest.

good Steady State Intervals 3.5 mi 00:35 10:04 pace

RUN
good 6 mi 01:00 10:02 pace
This was my first run with temps in the mid to upper 70s in a long time. I felt kind of sluggish but I also haven't been running much lately. Hopefully the next one will be better.

It was ok. It wasn't what I would pick but it didn't make my ears bleed. These spin classes are pretty intense so I just try to focus on not passing out or throwing up. Last night after warm up, 4 x 2 minute intervals at 120% FTP (interval 1,3 90-95 cadence, intervals 2,4 65-70 cadence with 4 standing) with 3 minute recoveries and then 4x 3 minute intervals at 110% FTP following the same pattern.

#dailymission Spartan Sprint on 2012. I learned that I hate obstacle course races, especially ones that involve heights.
