    Managed to get over my fear of face planting or hitting my shins, and did some box jumps.

    Easy 2 miles, plus some strides between girl scouts and basketball practice.

      I haven't picked a specific race. I started a 16-week 5k training plan. I love doing half marathons but I feel like I have too much on my plate to train properly for that distance.

      You'll be fine. Settle in to a comfortable pace, relax and enjoy the race. Look at the positive: you could have a debilitating injury that could make running impossible. So, even with your congestion, be thankful during your Thanksgiving Day run. All the best, Heather!

      I didn't mean to sound ungrateful and I know there are people in much worse situations. My goal is to finish and given the generous time limit, 3.5 hours, I am sure I can do that.
