It was. Thursday morning starts the beginning of heat and hill acclimation for Kate for the Peachtree Road Race. I know I will hear much complaining.

Having the swim canceled is enough to get anyone off their mental game. You go into it thinking it will be on thing and it turns out to be something else. At least you didn't quit and you got some miles in under less than great conditions!

You are so awesome for persevering through nasty conditions and unpleasant circumstances, Heather! Definitely use this as a learning experience and especially recognize how mentally strong you are for getting yourself to the end no matter what you had to do to get there!

Heather, read my race report from last week's mountain madness. There are rarely perfect conditions for a race. We ALL want to quit at some point because it hurts, you're cold, etc. The true battle is not on the race course...it's on our minds. You won that battle today!

Heather you are totally awesome for completing this ride! Another friend of mine did this event as well and she said it was really, really tough and that the raindrops were really cold even if the air temp wasn't. Amazing!

It was ok. It wasn't what I would pick but it didn't make my ears bleed. These spin classes are pretty intense so I just try to focus on not passing out or throwing up. Last night after warm up, 4 x 2 minute intervals at 120% FTP (interval 1,3 90-95 cadence, intervals 2,4 65-70 cadence with 4 standing) with 3 minute recoveries and then 4x 3 minute intervals at 110% FTP following the same pattern.
