Update: My PT has told me that if I have access to an Alter G treadmill I can do as much running as I would like. Luckily I have friend who has access to an Alter G treadmill :D

Ok I went back and looked. If you are allowed any more on the ground running, I will advise doing it on a soccer field, nice and flat, no downhills.... Hang in there. You 'll get through it.

Harris, that sucks about your knee - as if you didn't know already! If it's any consolation, I'll be taking a month or more off running...or as long as it takes for the disc in my back to stop pressing on the nerve to my butt and hamstring! Hopefully I can switch to cycling for a while. The Alter G treadmill looks great, maybe you should switch to a PT who has one!

Thanks Holly! Ill def get on the soccer fields. For some reason I dont know why I didnt think of that (especially after that 19 miles around a soccer field). Ive been doing my runs on concrete for some reason (I do stupid stuff often)

@Gil Sorry hear about that. Ive been doing some biking, it is a different than running but it does get fun :D
Sadly all of the PTs with Alter G's are in Atlanta

Good luck, you will get through this!! Stay strong, that is great news that you're able to do some running!! This may be really redundant, and I proabaly missed this in your older posts, but did the doc tell you how all this happened? Was it just overuse?

@Jamie they still arent sure how I tore my IT but the tear in my MCL was due to overuse and the tendonitis was also due to overuse.
