I have a slight case of runner's knee and a slight case of restlessness. I've come to rely on running that it sucks when I know I can't do it. Enter recumbent bike!!

    That would be great!! Most of my long runs are on the trails but almost all of my midweek runs are on the streets. Your knee problem may actually be IT Band Syndrome. It's the most common cause of knee pain.

    I had ITBS before, and this "sensitivity" is in the other knee and in a different location, toward the front. I had also been doing a lot of hills. Anyway, you've probably experienced both since you're a lot more hardcore than I am at this point. Have you had runner's knee?

    The front of the knee pain is typically patellofemoral pain. I had this too. I got a band/strap that puts pressure on the tendon under the knee cap. It helped out a lot. Also if you push up on your knee cap and press your thumbs into the sore area it should feel much better. I wore the knee strap around the house all the time. The constant pressure really helped out.
