Finally back at it today after getting over that nasty stomach virus. Felt great! Did speed intervals. And I don't say this very often about intervals, but LOVED it!

    I am trying to increase my speed, I run about a 10 minute mile now and would like to run a 9 minute mile. Short intervals have not worked for me, so I have been doing long ones and they have really helped. I do 1/4 mile at 5.5 on the treadmill and then 1/4 mile at 6.5, then back to 5.5, then to 7, and so on .. thru 8. I ran 3 miles last week sub 9 minutes, so it is really helping in the short runs, but my longer runs are still closer to 10.
