ran with my girl, Nicole who's on the XC team. we've never ran together, so I was a bit nervous about doing my longest training run with her, but there was nothing to worry about. we both wanted to run 11 miles, so we went out 44 minutes and turned around. she was thinking we'd be doing 8-minute miles, but honestly, I don't think it turned out to be such. I'd say we did roughly 10 miles, though because our run was all trail, I can't use GPS to determine our distance - dang it. I survived the heat - hooray! - though just barely. we started @ 7:00am and I couldn't imagine starting a minute later. the only negative thing is that my clean new kicks are now a dusty mess. just devoured a stack of GF pancakes... and now I need to stop rambling and take a cold shower =]
