Dailymile makes it easy to keep track of your workouts. Map your routes and share with a community of active people.
In the spring of 2009 I started running again after a nearly 15-year hiatus and embraced it with a passion.
At the time, my husband looked at me and said, “You are not going to turn me into a runner!” . . . . last October he ran Chicago.
At the time, I invited my then 13-year-old to run with me, and she always declined. . . . last fall she ran XC at her high school.
At the time, my 10-year-old did a one-mile race with me and at the end proclaimed “I am NEVER doing that again.” Yesterday, she competed in her fourth track meet this year, her first season running track. That’s her, third from right in yellow, about to place 2nd in her heat and 3rd overall in 100 meter hurdles (out of a field of 24--first time ever running it). Never say never!

Sweet stuff, that is really cool! So there's hope for me...

Wow, cool! Way to drag the family into it kicking and screaming and hurdling and marathoning and other stuff.

Nice! This gives me some sense of relief that I can get my daughters into running more someday. I have taken them to the Kaneland track a few times. They are still young, but I figure baby steps. My oldest has completed her first 5k and is doing the FVM kids race again. It is hard to get other family members on board with it though. I figure if I keep on running my daughters might follow my lead. :)

My daughters run too. Youngest did a 10 mile race with me last year. The oldest did some 5ks. I too did XC then dropped it in favour of badminton.....running always calls you back though. Nice hurdling btw:-)
