5 Mile warmup with the intention of joining the club session of 10 x 90 seconds @ 3k pace with 60 second recoveries. I turned up late so I extended the first rep to 800m in 2:58 followed by 3 x 410 m in 90 seconds before throwing in the towel as I found the 60 second recoveries too short and my HR shot into the 170's and would not come down with easy jogging - so I had to sit down for a while. I cut the session short and headed for home, recovering somewhat.
