      We should talk. A group of us run there every Thursday at 4:30 (9-10 mile loop starting and finishing up by the zoo). I think I have done 13 loops so far this year. There are many side trails that keep us off the main paths on both sides. They are 10 fold harder than the main routes and you get dirty. I understand running the River Chase Course, but going behind the cemetery, and down low on the east side at turning point can add a terrific challenge.

      Just show up at 4:30 in the first lot on the right before the zoo. There is a porta potty there. We have become accustomed to going over the foot bridge and down the west side, stopping at the marina (with the drinking fountain) just before Pelicans, going over the bridge, then up the east side and into the back of Seneca Park (trail section). We always have at least 2 going, and sometimes as many as 6. Great group. Come join us.

    This felt really good. I ran slowly and deliberately. I focused on good form as it tends to break down when running slowly. My pace was faster than I would have expected. I feel quite good.

    This was run too hard for a recovery run. I also likely went too far. I'm being aggressive to get back into things. My legs felt dead. I walked 3-4 times. I still enjoyed the run.

      There was a time when I'd be to work by 6 AM. I really liked the solitude and I wasn't tired. These days things are much different! I was very awake all morning though. I attribute that to the running.

      I have gotten up before 5 the past two mornings to get in running... I love it once I get running, but I don't love the getting out of bed part! nice early run!
